Scoring methods

Total Activity

Calories, minutes and steps go into one total.

Total Activity adds up your day: 1 point per calorie, 1 point per exercise minute and 1 point per 100 steps. There is no daily cap and your goals play no part, so more activity always means more points.

How points work

  1. 1 point for each Move calorie you burn.
  2. 1 point for each exercise minute.
  3. 1 point for each 100 steps, rounded to the nearest point.
  4. There is no daily cap. Your ring goals do not change the score.

A worked example

On Tuesday you log:

  • 520 calories: 520 points
  • 45 exercise minutes: 45 points
  • 9,420 steps: 94 points

Tuesday scores 659 points.

Who it suits

Groups who want effort to count, whatever the activity. Calories make up most of a typical total, so long, hard sessions score well.

Hosting

Any plan can host it, including the free plan.

Best days, which drops each person’s worst few days, also takes Member or Pro to host.

Ties

Equal scores share a rank. When people or teams tie for first at the end of a round, they all win. A round where nobody scored has no winner.
