VO2 Max
Definition
The maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during intense exercise, measured in milliliters of oxygen per kilogram of body weight per minute (mL/kg/min). It's widely considered the best single number for aerobic fitness. Apple Watch, Garmin, and WHOOP all estimate VO2 max from heart rate during cardio.
How MoveTogether uses it.
MoveTogether does not score competitions on VO2 max. Like HRV, it's a personal physiology metric that depends on body composition, training history, and genetics — comparing absolute VO2 maxes across people would heavily favor lean cardio athletes regardless of effort. Effort scoring (calories, minutes, workouts) is the fair comparison.
If you care about VO2 max, Garmin Connect, Apple Health, and WHOOP are where to track it. MoveTogether reads only the activity output you generate.

MoveTogether is free on the App Store. Connect a wearable (or just your iPhone) and start your first competition this week.
