Demotion Protection
Definition
An automatic one-time safety net in Move Leagues. If you'd otherwise demote a tier (by finishing in the bottom 5 of your cohort), an available protection consumes itself and you stay in your current tier instead. Refills over time.
How MoveTogether uses it.
Everyone starts with one protection. It spends itself on your next demotion automatically, so there is nothing to decide. Keep showing up and it refills.
It takes the edge off one bad week (a trip, an illness) without removing the stakes. The bank holds one, so two bad weeks in a row will still demote you. It is separate from a Streak Freeze, which covers missed days in a weekly streak and has its own rules.

MoveTogether is on the App Store and Google Play. Bring any device that syncs to Apple Health or Health Connect, or just your phone, and start your first competition this week.
