What's new in MoveTogether 2.2.0

2.2.0 adds a live captain draft for team competitions, one-screen create, new profiles, shared wins on ties, and a shared progress bar for group goals.

MoveTogether 2.2.0 is out on iPhone and Android. Team competitions can now start the way pickup games do, with captains choosing sides. Making a competition takes one screen instead of nine. And your profile finally looks like yours.

Here's what's new and what it means for you.

Captains pick their teams live

Team competitions can start with a draft. Captains take turns picking, and a clock keeps it moving, so nobody stalls the room for an hour deciding between two friends.

Only the captain on the clock gets the "your turn" push, so the rest of the group isn't buzzed every pick. Everyone hears when the draft starts and when the teams are set.

Create a competition on one screen

The nine-step wizard is gone. Name the competition, choose how it scores, and invite people from one page. Tap any setting to change it. If you've ever given up halfway through setting up a race at 11pm, this one's for you.

Built for iPhone Duo

If you use an iPhone Duo, MoveTogether now uses both screens. Open it up and Home, Compete, competition details, profiles, chats, Coach Mo, the challenge board, and rewards spread into two columns, so you can watch the leaderboard on one side and the details on the other.

A few screens still sit on one side of the fold on purpose, so nothing gets split down the middle. This one is iPhone only, since the Duo is an iPhone.

Profiles got a new look

After you update, you can add a cover across the top, a profile picture, and a short bio. That's what friends see when they open your profile, and you can change any of it whenever you like.

See what everyone wears

On iPhone and Android, a small badge on someone's photo can show the tracker they use, like Apple Watch, Garmin, WHOOP, or Oura. It's a nice reminder of the whole point: your group doesn't need to wear the same thing to be on the same board.

Not every source has a badge. If someone tracks with their phone alone, or a source without badge art, you won't see one. And badges don't show on private profiles.

Ties share the win

When people or teams tie for first, they all win. If two teams finish level, every member of both teams gets the win. And a round where nobody scored has no winner, so nobody takes a title for showing up to an empty week.

See how close the group is

Community Goals and Shared Goals now show one progress bar for the whole group, with a checkpoint at every quarter of the target. You can see at a glance whether you're on pace or need a big Saturday.

Also new

  • Your rings say where their numbers come from. When your tracker hasn't synced in a while, they tell you when it last did, so a low number isn't a mystery.
  • Your weekly recap is set to arrive Sunday at 7 PM your time. You can turn it off in its own notification setting.
  • Earlier support chats with Marco, our AI support, stay in your support home, with files named and finished chats marked solved.
  • Profile badges are bigger and lead with their art.
  • Edit subscription now takes you straight to your App Store subscription in one tap. Android already worked this way.
  • More bug fixes.
