The MoveTogether Team

Posts on this blog are written by the people who build MoveTogether, the fitness competition app that puts friends on one leaderboard no matter which watch or tracker they wear.

That is the whole reason the blog exists. Getting an Apple Watch, a Fitbit, a Garmin and an Oura ring to agree on what a day of movement is worth means reading a lot of platform documentation and hitting a lot of edge cases. Most of what gets written here started as a problem in the app: why two devices disagree on step counts, what a ring actually measures, why some metrics are unfit to compete on.

So the writing sticks to what the team can check. Where a claim depends on a specific device or a specific health platform, the post says which one. Where something is a judgement call rather than a measurement, it says that too.
