What's new in MoveTogether 2.0.2

2.0.2 fixes Fitbit syncing, gives Coach Mo charts and time off plans, opens August All-In, and adds league group chats.

MoveTogether 2.0.2 is out. It fixes Fitbit syncing, teaches Coach Mo to show charts and to back off when you need a break, opens our August event, and gives every league its own group chat.

Here's what's new, why we built it, and what it means for you.

Fitbit syncing, fixed

If your Fitbit data was lagging or missing, this is the fix. Fitbit used to reach MoveTogether through a sync service in the middle. In 2.0.2 it connects to Fitbit directly.

Connect Fitbit
Read only: activity, fitness and sleep, nothing else.

You sign in with your Fitbit account and allow read only access. MoveTogether reads your steps, active calories, exercise minutes, distance, workouts, and sleep.

What you do

If Fitbit was acting up, open Settings, then Data Sources, and reconnect it.

Direct Fitbit has since been retired. From 2.1.1, Fitbit sends its data to Apple Health and MoveTogether reads it there, the same as every other tracker.

Coach Mo shows you a chart

Some answers are easier to see than to read. Coach Mo can now put a card under its reply:

  • Activity shows your Move, Exercise, and Steps for the last seven days.
  • Standings shows a competition's leaders and where you sit among them.
  • Progress shows how you, or someone else in the competition, is tracking.
Charts in chat
Sample data. Ask Mo how your week went, or how a competition is going.

Mo picks the card, but every number on it comes from your data, not from Mo. Name a competition the way you'd say it out loud and Mo works out which one you mean. A standings card keeps updating while the chat is open.

Taking time off? Tell Mo

A nudge to close your rings is the last thing you want on vacation or with a fever. Now you can tell Coach Mo you're traveling, resting, sick or hurt, or just busy, and it sets up a temporary plan.

A plan to confirm
Sample plan. Nothing changes until you tap Confirm.

Mo shows you the plan first: the dates, or a weekly rest day, and whether your activity reminders pause or get gentler. Only activity reminders change, and only once you tap Confirm.

A plan can cover up to 90 days. To see or edit yours, open Coach Mo's settings and tap Plans & rest days.

August All-In

August All-In was our event for August 2026, a public competition anyone could join. It ran from August 1 to August 31 and was scored by Raw Numbers, which combines calories, exercise minutes, and steps.

August All-In
Sample progress partway through the month.

Be active on 20 different days to earn the August All-In badge. Among everyone who got there, the top three scores won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place badges instead.

August All-In has ended. It ran August 1 to 31, 2026.

Your league gets a group chat

Every week you're placed in a league with people at your level, often before you have any friends in the app. Now that group has somewhere to talk.

League chat
Sample league. The chat button sits next to the info button.

Open the League leaderboard and tap the chat bubble in the top corner. You don't need Pro to join in. The chat appears once your league has at least 8 people, and it stays quiet: you only get a notification when someone mentions you.

Standings that move

The League leaderboard now updates live. When someone in your league syncs, the standings reshuffle without a pull to refresh, and your own sync shows up right away. It also opens instantly instead of flashing in.

Also in this release

  • Names on the League and Friends leaderboards no longer get cut off.
  • Your league medal shows on the Compete card and loads without popping in.
  • The Move Leagues countdown matches when the week actually resets.
  • Coach Mo conversation titles no longer show up in all caps.
  • After you update, What's New opens once to show you what changed.
  • Bug fixes and speed improvements.
