OAuth connection

Suunto, off the trail, on the leaderboard.

Suunto built its reputation outdoors — trail running, alpine climbing, multisport endurance. MoveTogether brings that effort onto the same leaderboard as friends on Apple Watch, Garmin, Polar, and WHOOP. Connect Suunto via the Suunto app's OAuth and your workouts and daily activity feed straight into competitions.

Sync cadence

Every 15–30 minutes

Suunto activities sync to the Suunto app via Bluetooth when your watch reaches your phone. We poll Suunto's API on a regular cadence so new activity lands on the MoveTogether leaderboard within roughly 15–30 minutes. Pull-to-refresh in MoveTogether to attempt an immediate sync.

Best scoring methods for Suunto.

Suunto's audience leans outdoor and endurance. The methods that fit best:

Recommended for Suunto

Workout Based

Built for people who log specific activities. Suunto users tend to record trail runs, climbs, and rides — Workout Based scoring counts exactly those.

Raw Numbers

Volume-rewarding scoring. Endurance days rack up calories and minutes — Raw Numbers captures that.

Percentage of Goals

Most cross-device-fair for mixed-device groups.

Suunto questions, briefly answered.

Will my long backcountry adventures (multi-hour outings) come through?

Yes. Suunto's long-duration sport modes — trail running, hiking, mountaineering, multisport — all feed into MoveTogether as workouts. Long sessions translate to substantial Workout Based and Raw Numbers points.

What about GPS tracks and elevation gain?

We don't score on elevation or GPS data directly — Workout Based scoring uses workout duration, and Raw Numbers uses calories + minutes. Your routes and climb data stay in Suunto.

What if my Suunto syncs to Strava too — should I connect both?

Connecting both would create duplicate activities. Pick one — Suunto is the direct source, Strava is downstream. Suunto first if you only use Suunto's app, Strava if your routine already lives in Strava.

Does it work with the older Suunto Movescount app?

Suunto Movescount has been retired in favor of the Suunto app — if your watch still syncs to Movescount only, you'll need to migrate to the modern Suunto app for the integration to work.

Suunto, where the leaderboard is.

Connect in under a minute. Long days in the mountains earn their place on the leaderboard.
